An immersive installation on fungal networks as a model of distributed intelligence.

Underground, fungi build networks that connect trees and plants, move resources and respond to their surroundings with no centre making decisions. Mycelium translates these processes into four chapters: mycelial growth, mycorrhizal networks, resource exchange, sporulation.

Each chapter starts from real biological data and phenomena and turns them into abstract visual environments, halfway between scientific visualisation and biomorphic form. The result is a space to walk through, one that asks you to look at an ecosystem from a non-human point of view.
